Re-purposing an old bus shelter area, with neglected  inaccessible scrub, and an added challenge of access to utility service boxes.  A new bus shelter will be constructed in Winter 2022, and it was decided to turn this area into a much more appealing site, creating a new path to the bus-stop (currently the schoolchildren have to walk out into the road) and masses of planting for wildlife.  Butterfly Conservation  donated 150 plug plants to enhance the existing sward, and I supervised a team of amazing village volunteers who worked super hard to clear the area, plant the new plants and who now have a beady eye on the ongoing maintenance during the establishment of their new space.
