I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and the Professional Garden Consultants Association, give talks to private and public groups about gardening with nature, and have been a speaker and panel member at industry events.
I volunteer for my local Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust 'Wilder Bishops Waltham', offering nature-led talks and walks throughout the area.
I am also proud and privileged to have recently qualified as an ambulance Community First Responder for South Central Ambulance Charity.
My professional gardening career was borne from an innate love of the natural world and its conservation, which fuelled my ambition to build my specialism in biodiverse and wildlife gardens. I quite literally got the gardening bug, and really am nuts about gardening (or possibly just nuts. The jury is out)
Back in 2007 I became a professional horticulturist following a successful career in wildlife documentary production, working on programming such as the BBC's ‘Natural World’. I embarked on a new venture which over 15 years grew into an award-winning company providing expert horticulture to fine and prestigious country gardens and estates., and have been privileged to work in heritage gardens including those by Capability Brown and Gertrude Jekyll.
Since Spring 2020 I have been specialising as an independent consultant, and it is with great excitement and passion that I now give more time to my main passion of ecological gardening.
