WILDLIFE POND creation with meadow improvements

I was called in originally to advise on the poor performance of a wildflower-turf meadow laid by the Client a few years previously. This evolved into the addition of a brand new wildlife pond!  

Gentle management was needed to thin out the stronger grasses, enabling the existing yellow rattle to become established whilst complementing the site with plug plants of species much more appropriate to their very dry, very sandy soil.  The overall brief was to create greater connectivity between the pond and the meadow. Created in Spring 2021 the meadow, in just its first year of 'improvement', thanked us with a fantastic floriferous display. We are all thrilled with the results so far.
